  We located AKB by looking for the highest rated company with great reviews. We were not disappointed at all and are very glad to have found them. We had them remodel a kitchen and two bathrooms for us. They have a really good designer, Michele, who worked with us to first understand our styles and tastes. She then created a design and helped us select tiles to use for the floor, backsplash, and bathroom walls. Michele showed us lots of granite and tiles that worked together to make a beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. We picked high quality cabinets that are the highest that we have seen and we are very happy with the ones we selected. The people doing the work are craftsmen who really care about their work. There were specialists for certain areas, like laying tile, and also generalists who worked in many areas. We were very happy with them all and found them to be hard workers. They always arrived promptly each morning to work that day and at the end of the day would clean inside and out before leaving. This major remodel ran smoothly and we would select AKB again for any other job we may have

• Currently getting proposals from Heartwood on kitchen remodel. When I was told they were now on Angie's List, I decided to write a report on a prior job. We did a remodel of our family room about 20 years ago. Last year, we hired Heartwood to design and install a 6' x 8' section of the existing wall unit which included new (1) upper exposed shelves, (2) lower shelves with doors and (3) closed beverage storage cabinet to meet our current needs. The trick was to perfectly match the remaining 6' x 8' original section which held the other storage sections. The moulding was no longer available. Heartwood milled the moulding to match the old. The final installation exceeded my expectation since it looked like the full 12" length had been done all at one time. Job well done. Very happy with the job

• We called Matthew Hunter after we ordered a kitchen at Home Depot. Our Home Depot experience was a disaster. Their kitchen specialist designed a kitchen and soon we received a plethora of bases, doors and parts. Unfortunately the individual who designed our kitchen went out sick for the next four months. The store didn't have anyone trained to replace her and no one understood the design. Neither the American manufacturer or the store could understand the design. We were blindsided. Our fate soon changed. As luck would have it we were found ourselves in the capable hands of Matthew Hunter, handyman and carpenter extraordinaire. We basically handed him a bundle of sticks that he used to create a magnificent kitchen for us. Matt is quiet, thoughtful and he carefully listens to what you want and without fail produces it. After putting our kitchen together from a pile of sticks we hired him to design and install a banquet for us with three windows and four benches. Each bench has storage underneath built specifically for my height and suitable height in the event I become wheelchair bound. It turned out so perfect. Then we hired Matthew to finished a laminate floor my husband and son began years ago. Matthew did all the finish work for our 90 ft. hallway that included trimming five doors and four sliding glass doors. Due to physical disability of mine we then asked him to design a wainscoting for hallway with a finger hold routed out. I'm disabled and I can't count how many times it has kept me from falling. You would never notice it unless you are looking for it. Matthew Hunter is an amazing craftsman and you would be well served if you were to engage his services. • We couldn't be happier! My wife loves her new kitchen. It is a very functional design and looks great. Tiffany was very professional, responsive, and detail oriented. She was a big help with ideas for getting things right. The the cabinets are well made and attractive. The granite work is first rate. The fireplace surround turned out better than we could have expected. Overall a very pleasant experience working with these friendly, competent people. • The folks at Borror were great! This is a family run business and they were right on top of things. They helped us select a cabinet and countertop, designed it specifically for our bathroom and needs. It is a cabinet that can later be converted to handicap accessible and is a little taller than normal. This morning the guys came out to install it. They were right on time and did a great job installing. The last minute cutting they did outside to minimize the mess. The only suggestion I have would be to put a drop cloth down in the adjacent floor because there was still a lot of dust and grit on the wood floor in the bedroom. The installation and fit are great and the vanity is beautiful. Quality work

• Outstanding. The two primary contractors, David (part owner of Casa Bella) and Don were meticulous. Incredible tile work from David and woodwork like I've never seen before from Don. David even took the extra pieces from the granite countertop and used them in the tile pattern so everything tied in. They cleaned up after themselves each day, too, which I really appreciated. The only unanticipated delays came from county inspectors who didn't show up on time. Lauren at Casa Bella did the design work and came up with a couple of ideas for us to work with. We ended up with a combination of the two plus a few changes, but they were able to get everything we wanted into the same footprint. This master bath is sandwiched between the kitchen on one side and the master bedroom on the other, so expanding out wasn't really an option. They were able to re-route the HVAC system, move lights and attic access, and added a pocket door to the walk-in closet. Don made the new woodwork match the existing so well you can't tell it's any different, even if you know it's new stuff. They checked the quality of all the work done by the subcontractors and if it wasn't up to snuff (only happened on one occasion) they made the sub take the stuff out and do it right. So nice not to have to fight with contractors myself! We've built and/or remodeled several houses and this was without question the best experience we've had yet. When it comes time to take on the outdated kitchen, we'll definitely give Casa Bella a call
